Begin your journey through the ancient wonders of Greece in the capital that’s widely considered to be the birthplace of Western democracy. Upon arrival at Athens International Airport, you’ll be met by our driver for a seamless private transfer to your hotel in the heart of the historic center, just a short walk to Plaka, the Acropolis, and many other iconic sites. En route, you’ll stop to tour the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Delphi. Widely regarded as the center of the world by ancient Greeks, it’s one of the country’s most important archaeological sites. Marvel at everything from the Ancient Stadium and Temple of Apollo to the Ancient Theatre, and Treasury of the Athenians along the Sacred Way before continuing to your hotel with the remainder of the day at your leisure.

You can take the day to relax or explore on your own, perhaps strolling the charming cobbled streets of Galaxidi with historic churches like Agia Paraskevi and Agios Nikolaos, along with a maritime museum. Or spend it in one of the sandy coves, sunbathing and swimming in a calm turquoise bay. Or, join our optional private biking tour starting from the archaeological site of Delphi. You’ll pedal about 12 miles in total, traveling through an ancient UNESCO-listed olive grove with over 1.5 million olive trees, where you can learn about the region’s olive culture and enjoy a tasting of local olives.

After checking out of your Galaxidi hotel, our driver will meet you for the private transfer to your accommodation in the small town of Olympia, best known for the site of Ancient Olympia nearby. Enjoy the views while traveling over the Rio–Antirrio Bridge, the longest fully-suspended bridge and one of the world’s longest cable-stayed bridges, crossing the Rion Strait to the Pelopponese Peninsula. You’ve glimpsed Ancient Olympia from a distance, and now you’ll explore it on a private guided tour, after checking out of your hotel. This is the site that inspired today’s modern Olympic Games, with the first starting here in 776 BC, taking place every four years for more than a millennium. The flame is still lit here as it was back then, using a parabolic mirror. You’ll also have time to check out the shops and eateries while wandering through the neighborhoods in the old city.

An optional tour this morning can bring you to the ancient city of Mycenae, the center of the Mycenaean civilization around the second millennium BC. You’ll have your own private guide while exploring, providing insight into highlights like the famous Lion Gate, the entrance to Agamemnon’s fortress, and Agamemnon’s Palace. Afterward, you’ll head to a local winery for lunch and a wine tasting. The afternoon is all yours. Alternatively, you might visit the Nafplio Archaeological Museum with artifacts tracing the development of Argolis to the Mycenaean era, or relax on a soft sandy beach like Karathona, hidden behind the rock of Palamidi.

If you’re ready for a day at the beach, Tinos is home to many tranquil beaches for soaking up the sun, swimming, and perhaps enjoying watersports. Those who want to get more active might head to Kolibithra, a great place for stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and jet skiing, with gear rentals available. As Tinos is a center of Greek marble art, if you’re interested in learning more about this rich tradition, a skill that’s been passed down through generations, head to Pyrgos. The village is famous for being built almost entirely with marble, home to the Museum of Marble Crafts and the Museum of Tinian Artists.

Saying farewell to Tinos, meet your driver after you hotel checkout for a private transfer back to the port, where you’ll enjoy a short, 20-minute ferry ride to Mykonos. Upon arrival, another driver will be there to greet you and provide a private transfer to your luxury accommodation in Mykonos Town. After settling in, you might join our optional semi-shared walking food tour through the cobbled streets in town, admiring the whitewashed buildings and iconic Venetian windmills just above. Sacred Delos Island is just a few miles from Mykonos, making it a quick ride by ferry. Mykonos Town Beach at the heart of the Old Port is easily accessed on foot and is surrounded by shops and cafes. You’ll explore the estate and several workshops, enjoy a tasting of homemade island specialties, and learn the technique of kneading and baking your own loaf in an authentic stone oven.
