Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 Dubrovnik

Your adventure begins upon arrival at Dubrovnik International Airport. Our driver will be there to welcome you and provide a private transfer to your hotel. Once you’ve checked in, you can enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. With many excellent facilities to enjoy, you might unwind right here, a perfect way to refresh after a long flight. There’s a fabulous wellness center and spa that includes an indoor sea view pool and a menu of pampering treatments. This evening, you’ll have some great dining options on-site from casual beachside dining in a man-made cave to fine dining on Mediterranean cuisine with a Croatian twist.

Day 2 Dubrovnik

It’s time to go exploring. Join your guide for a private half-day cycling tour that pedals through the picturesque Konavle valley with scenery that includes vineyards, rivers, and gardens as well as traveling through authentic villages near the foothills of the Snjeznica Mountains. After cycling, you’ll head to the home of a family who has a 500-year history in the area for a cooking class. Begin by touring the kitchen and wine cellar before getting instruction from the family matriarch. You’ll be guided in preparing favorite regional dishes using traditional techniques, without electricity. Once it’s finished, enjoy the results alongside local wine.

Day 3 Hvar

Hvar, Croatia

It will soon be time to check out of your Dubrovnik hotel. Your driver will provide a private transfer to the port so you can catch the ferry to Hvar, an island renowned for its frequent sunny skies, historic landmarks, vineyards, lavender fields, and buzzing nightlife. Upon arrival, you’ll have another driver there to welcome you and provide a private transfer to your hotel, less than a 5-minute walk from baroque-style St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the main square. With the remainder of the day enjoyed at your leisure, it’s the perfect time to explore on your own. This evening, sample the world-class dining and nightlife.

Day 4 Hvar

Tomic Winery, Hvar

The ideal excursion for wine enthusiasts, your guide will lead you on the half-day private Wine Lovers tour, which visits three of the top wineries in Hvar, with the exact wineries depending on availability. You’ll enjoy tastings at all of them for an excellent sampling of what’s produced right on the island, such as the Plancic family winery in Vrbanj that’s been around for over a century, known for combining modern and traditional techniques. The Tomic family winery in the small coastal town of Jelsa, is renowned for its Prosek, the original Dalmatian wine, while the Plenkovic family’s winery has a unique underwater wine cellar.

Day 5 Hvar

Enjoy a leisurely morning with this afternoon bringing a four-hour sunset sailing trip through the Pakleni Islands that lie in front of Hvar Town. Mostly uninhabited, the limestone islands are densely forested and surrounded by strikingly clear, calm turquoise waters that you can take advantage of with time to swim or snorkel.  Your captain will find a secluded bay that’s ideal with the exact spots depending on the weather and the interests of you and the group. The journey is timed so that you can watch a colorful sunset over the sea with a glass of wine included for a toast.

Day 6 Split

Heading back to the mainland today, your private driver will transfer you to the port to catch the ferry to Split. Once there, you’ll check into your hotel, perfectly situated for exploring as it’s tucked right inside Diocletian’s Palace. The rest of the day is yours, perhaps browsing the boutiques, specialty food shops, and art galleries that are housed in the well-preserved, centuries-old Roman buildings. If you climb to the top of Marjan Hill just before dusk, you can take in a magical sunset view. You’ll find many places to dine this evening, including along the Riva promenade and in the vast palace complex.

Day 7 Split

Discover the magnificent waterfalls in Krka National Park and spectacular Sibenik on this full-day tour with your own private guide. Travel to the small town of Skradin which sits at the entrance to the park, hopping on a boat to cruise the river Krka before disembarking for a walk along the scenic trails. Enjoy views of the river and the cascades, with Skradinski Buk a collection of 17 falls with a total drop of nearly 150 feet. Visit Sibenik next where you’ll admire St. James Cathedral, with many impressive decorative elements like the frieze with over 70 sculpted faces of men, women, and children.

Day 8 Athens

Athens

This morning, be sure your bags are packed and ready as your driver will meet you upon checkout to provide a private transfer to Split’s airport. Catch your flight to Athens where you’ll be welcomed by another driver, taking a private transfer to your hotel in the city’s historic center. The rest of the day is yours and you’ll be in a prime spot for a stroll, with plenty of shops, eateries, and historic attractions just a short walk away. The sidewalk cafes are a fabulous place to relax with a glass of wine or fuel up with some Greek coffee while watching the world go by.

Day 9 Athens

Athens, Greece

A private guided tour reveals the highlights of Athens, starting with a climb up Acropolis hill. Your expert guide will provide insight into the history of the monuments, most of which have been overlooking the city for some 2,500 years, including the iconic Parthenon. You’ll have two hours to marvel at them all before heading to the historic Plaka district. It’s one of the oldest neighborhoods in the capital and also offers numerous historical attractions like Hadrian’s Library, the Roman Agora, and the Ancient Agora. After your tour, we recommend dining in one of the many rooftop restaurants with an Acropolis view.

Day 10 Mykonos

It’s time to head to Mykonos. Your private driver will provide a transfer from your Athens hotel to the airport so you can catch your flight to the cosmopolitan island known for its luxe resorts, upscale boutiques, and white powdery sands. Upon arrival, there will be another driver there to welcome you and provide a transfer to your luxurious hotel along the beachfront. You might enjoy simply relaxing and taking in the view or perhaps exploring the shops in town. The historic windmills just above Little Venice make a great photo-op and the neighborhood has some fabulous eateries for dining with a sunset view.

Day 11 Mykonos

An exciting half-day Jeep tour will show you some of the more hidden treasures on Mykonos Island that most visitors don’t get to see, starting with St. Ioannis which boasts a magnificent view of sacred Delos Island. You’ll visit Ornos Beach and charming Ano Mera village with its narrow, cobbled streets and 16th-century monastery before touring a traditional Mykonian farm where you’ll have a light lunch with ingredients right from the property along with some of the traditional raki liqueur. Afterward, take advantage of more photo-ops, including picture-postcard beaches and a panoramic view over Mykonos Town, concluding with a ride on a black sandy beach.

Day 12 Santorini

After checking out of your Mykonos hotel, you’ll take a private transfer to the port to catch the ferry to Santorini. One of the highlights is the journey itself, and particularly the arrival as you’ll come face to face with the dramatic caldera walls. Another driver will be there to greet you when you disembark, providing a private transfer to your Fira hotel. You’ll have the remainder of the day to yourself and with the Museum of Prehistoric Thera just over a 5-minute walk away, you might want to explore it along with the capital’s many shops and galleries before dining in your hotel’s sea-view rooftop restaurant.

Day 13 Santorini

Discover Santorini’s many delights on a half-day tour by ATV that includes sights few tourists get to see, starting from the black sands of Perissa beach. Travel to Emporio, a little village crowned by a restored 15th-century Venetian castle, where you’ll have time to wander the maze of streets and fuel up with some strong Greek coffee. That will be followed by a visit to the traditional village of Megalochori, the caldera, and Santorini’s oldest winery. Here you’ll enjoy a stunning view and a tasting alongside light bites. Afterward, check out a unique chapel in a cave and end with a ride on the beach.

Day 14 Santorini

You’ll have a full day to yourself and while you could simply relax at your hotel if you’re up for a hike we recommend the popular trek between Fira and Oia that runs right along the caldera for breathtaking sea views. The tiny harbor of Ammoudi Bay can be accessed by descending the steep steps to the lower part of Oia village which hosts several outstanding traditional tavernas with tables right along the water. Nearby are coves that provide some of the best spots on the island for a swim. Enjoy a refreshing dip and stick around to admire Oia’s world-famous sunset.

Day 15 Departure from Santorini

After two full weeks exploring Croatia and Greece, you’ll begin your journey home, or head to wherever your travels might take you to next. After checking out of your hotel, your driver will provide a private transfer to the airport where you’ll catch a flight to Athens.
